SLIM is a Board of Management member of Asia Marketing Federation, which is affiliated to the World Marketing Federation. Asia Marketing Federation is a collaboration platform for all the Marketing associations in Asia. Originally founded in 1991 as Asia Pacifica Marketing Federation (APMF), it evolved into Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) in 2007. The mission of AMF is to effectively promote the interests of Marketing in Asia in general and strengthen the Asia Marketing fraternity. The AMF represents 16 Asian countries in the region such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam

The OPA of SL, the apex body of Professional Associations was established in 1974, with several professional bodies mooting the idea of joint professional body, to cater to the country’s growing need of professional opinion. It has developed to a unique organization and even the Commonwealth Foundation Officials were of the opinion that the OPA is the most powerful Professional Organization in the Commonwealth, where it is with the widest coverage in the whole world, consisting of 48 affiliated Professional organizations with Professional representatives of more than 60,000 as a very conservative estimation.

NCCSL, the emerged leading trade and promotional body in the island for last six decades, is the focal point for member companies representing virtually the entire spectrum of industry, trade and commerce in Sri Lanka.

FCCISL is the rallying point for free enterprises in Sri Lanka, and it has empowered Sri Lankan businesses in the changing times to show their competitiveness and enhance their national and global reach. With a nationwide membership of over 50 chambers of commerce and business associations, FCCISL espouses the shared vision of Sri Lankan businesses and speaks directly and indirectly to over 25,000 business units. It has an expanding membership of enterprises drawn from large, medium, small and tiny segments of manufacturing, distributive trade and services.

The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) was established in 1929 as an organization of employers dealing with labour and social issues in Sri Lanka. It is today the principal organization of employers, promoting employer interests at national level, especially focusing on industrial relations and labour law. Also the organization commands the attention of the policy makers in relation to labour policy and the EFC plays a very important role in terms of lobbying for labour reforms and changes in policy in the interest of employers in Sri Lanka. It is recognized by all Trade and Business Chambers in Sri Lanka as the ‘voice of business’ in relation to labour law and industrial relations in Sri Lanka.
